At the April 3rd Town Council Meeting, Parsippany Mayor Michael Soriano presented the Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills (WCPTH) a Proclamation for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Proclamation will be displayed at the Parsippany Library, Main Branch, for the month of April.
Also, Women’s Clubs across the country support Prevent Child Abuse America in its Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign. Every year, clubwomen raise awareness of child abuse and promote healthy childhoods by planting pinwheel gardens. Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the pinwheel in 2008 as the official symbol of happy childhoods. The pinwheel reminds everyone of their own childhoods and the fact that all children deserve to be happy and healthy. Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills Club members Terry Gerber and Terri Wohld co-chair this important campaign. Once again, WCPTH planted its Pinwheel Garden in front of the Parsippany Library – Main Branch. Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey is the only statewide non-profit dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in all forms, for all New Jersey children.
